Jonathon Wellington
Co-Pastor

Jonathon Wellington grew up in a very "Catholic" home as John Paluch.  Jonathon served as an altar boy, his mother washed and starched the linens, and his family assisted and supported the Christian Brothers.  During the early years of his life, both of Jonathon's parents suffered from alcoholism.  When Jonathon was only 16, his mother died from complications during a bypass operation.  Jonathon was married at an early age and divorced shortly after the birth of his son.

Jonathon and Christopher got together in the summer of 1978.  They started attending Faith Tabernacle in Flint, Michigan.  During one of the first services Jonathon attended, an evangelist called Jonathon out of the congregation and gave him a word from the Lord.  She said that many things were going to happen to him over the years, but God had His hand on him.  In 1979, Jonathon and Christopher moved to Houston and became involved in the local MCC.  In 1982, Community Gospel Church was formed and Johathon and Christopher started to attend.

Over the years, Jonathon has held various positions in the church.  In the spring of 2004, Jonathon was installed as the co-pastor of Community Gospel.  While ministering with Christopher during altar services, many times God uses Jonathon in the prophetic or word of knowledge.  He explains it as God showing him a picture or snapshot.  He then shares this with the person being ministered to.  It is amazing how that God has and is perfecting and expanding the ministries of the church!
