Our Basic Beliefs

Below is a listing of the church's basic beliefs.  These nine points are those we firmly believe and hold as truth as a body of believers.  These beliefs are not meant to divide the body, but to strengthen it by agreeing on these basic principles.

We believe in God the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

We believe in Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His death on the cross of Calvary, His burial, His resurrection on the third day, His ascension into Heaven, and His soon return.

We believe in the Holy Spirit, the One sent from God the Father to empower the church.  We believe in a post salvation experience with the Holy Spirit (being filled or baptized), which enables the believer to live a life as a witness of the saving power of Jesus.

We believe we are saved by calling on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.  In calling upon Him, we confess He is the Son of God, that He died for us, and that God raised Him from the dead.  We then are able to receive the forgiveness paid for by Jesus Christ.

We Believe in the healing power of Jesus Christ for the mind, body, and soul.  We believe it is God's will for us to experience wholeness in Him.

We believe in baptizing believers in water, following our Lord's example and His command.  This is not a requirement for salvation, but a public proclamation of our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

We believe in remembering our Lord in sharing a form of bread and grape juice, symbolizing His broken body and shed blood.  This remembrance is open to all who proclaim Jesus Christ as their Savior.

We believe the Holy Bible was inspired by the Holy Spirit and is the written Word of God.

We believe in striving to keep the Lord's command to love God with all of our heart, soul and strength, and to love our neighbor as ourselves.
